Topic of the week: Your other half or your mother?

Topic of the week is a contest among bloggers at one of my blog sites. For this week this the topic and what I have to say.


"If one day, your important half and your mother both fell into the sea at the same time, who will you save first?"

So, the question simply asks who will I save first.  I would assume that I can save them both. 

It’s a case to case basis really:

1. If both of them know how to swim, it wouldnt matter whom I’m going to save first.

2. If one doesn’t know how to swim, I’d save that person first.

3.
If both doesn’t know how to, I’d be in a dilemma.  Maybe I’d be saving
first that one nearer to me.  Then try to come back as soon as possible.

Moreover,
I believe when you’re in that situation, you wouldn’t have any time to
think who to save first.  When your adrenalin is rushing like a
thunderbolt, you don’t need to think. Who knows, you can save them both
at the same time. If I can only save one of them, and since I love my
mom so much, I’d do anything to save her…and I love my other half as
much too, so I’d go and sink to the bottom with him! What else can I
do, he’s my life.  If I’d lose him, I’d lose mine (life) too.  Got my drift???

P.s.

Reality
check, my partner is a guy so I expect him to be man enough to save
himself!  I know my mom doesn’t know how to swim well, so I guess I’d
be saving my mom first after all :P

    Its like you are torn between two different individuals whom at the same time are very significant to you. You are confused who to save first. Would it be the person who brought you in this world, gave you life and loves you the most? or the person who is your world, your life and u loved the most? \Really consfusing… but then I think I have to save the person who loves me the most and that is my mom for no one would ever love the way she loves me. Then go back and drown with the person I truly love…
