This is how I party with my friends

This is my article in reply to an ad on the paper that asked: "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. Where’s the cat?"
A story told by
Yuna Maldita
One
day in a not so distant place a fox named Foxie is out in the wild to hunt for
food. After hours of sleep the fox went through the forest looking for
prey. As Foxie smelled his way through the deep dark forest with tall and
big trees all over, he heard a very loud growl. Keeping himself down, he
became more cautious and attentive to any vicious predator that would come his
way. In a stealth mode, slowly and quietly he followed the headwater of
the sound. Moving his way deeper into the forest he ran and hid himself
at times.
Foxie
could see some light coming from the far end of the forest. He
immediately ran into it to check if the sound came from that area. When
he reached the far end, he was petrified with what he saw, a beautiful meadow
with wild flowers all over the place. Foxie couldn’t resist what he just
saw and ran around, rolled over as he savored the fresh and clean air.
From the fox’s view, he saw what the dog was doing. He thought of something to do if any prey would pass nearby. He then saw a little prey just around the bushes.
Foxie thought of outwitting his rival to get the prize for himself. While
Doggie was at his thing, the quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog!
Foxie ran as fast as he could for him to catch the fresh and tempting prey
that’s been hiding behind the bushes. He pounced and caught some fresh
meat and ran his way far from the meadow back to the fox’s hole. He ate
himself through and felt so tired and fell asleep in an instant. Back in
the meadows, the lazy dog just slept his way through the end of the day.
Not minding what tomorrow would bring him as long as he is saved for the day.
Remember my previous blog item Just a thought?
Well, yeah it was about some guy who’s willful enough to write despite
his meagerness in grammar but graspable enough to be understood.
"Article
of Success" is the title of his most recent blog item. I read it the
moment I saw his item. He was trying to say that whatever we do in
life, whatever our status would be, we can be successful if we just put
our heart and soul in it. The message he was trying to tell to his
readers is very clear. Direct to the point, despite the paucity in the
way he writes. I want to quote again what I wrote in my previous item
entitled A writer’s point of view "Writing
is not just about “to write”, but to believe in being a writer yourself".
Maybe he does believe in himself. And I believe that one day, he could
be a good writer. He just need to follow his heart, continue to
write. Continue to touch people’s lives with his experiences and
ideas.
As for me, I’d still be one of his avid reader. Someone who cheers in his success. Again, goodluck Mr. J.
This is what they mean when they say "1/2 horsepower"! hehe
Writing
is not just about “to write”, but to believe in being a writer yourself. More often than not, the biggest obstacle for
new writers is that they don’t think of themselves as writers. They have the difficulty developing the
belief that they are writers and yet it is something that they have to do. When a new writer haven’t developed that belief,
that conviction, it becomes a headwater of havoc or sabotage – he doesn’t give
importance to his own work enough to give it time and space it needs.
If
you want to become a writer, it is given that you have a strong desire or at
least you have the inclination to write. You know that there is something to say but don’t know how to say it or
in what form to express it whether to write it in poetry, essay, novel, etc. Whatever it is, just write something and when
you do just make sure that you put your heart in it. It doesn’t need to be perfect, it doesn’t
have to be neat. It does have to be
expressive. In this way, your readers
could clearly understand what you wanted to say.
In
writing, you always have to consider your readers. It means, you have to show them what you have
written. It may be a friend, a family
member or someone from work. Showing your work to others is a bit hard on your
part. You have these qualms on how the
readers would react to what you had to say. Pay attention to your reader, observe their emotions, did they cry,
laugh or get angry? If so, you just hit
the jackpot! It means you have an effect
with your writing. It is worth something
and that you just have to keep going and improve along the way.
There
was this certain writer who said “I don’t know if my work is any good. I just know that when people read it, they
cry”. You can’t get a message any
clearer than that. Therefore, when you
want to write, just believe in yourself, write something and put your heart in
it.
There
is a certain commercial on the television which upholds the power of
women. It showed women of different
walks of life, who excelled in their chosen sports. Not to mention a very physical sports. They say that these women are the new
generation of effeminacy. Strong-willed
women, empowering, and yet are able to maintain a sense of fragility.
Over
the years, women become more ardent, and more confident. Gone are those second class status women, who
used to be a follower, a side buddy to her man. Nowadays they are equally competitive and equally capable to almost
everything as compared to men in general. They excel in activities mostly participated only by men years ago. In sports, career, hobbies, and a lot more,
women thrive in these areas. There has
been a lot of recognized female personalities worldwide, be it any achievement
or a just a simple kind deed done zealously. They are more visible now than they were before, doing what they do with
a woman’s touch. Women indeed made their
way to fame, recognition and appreciation they deserve. Cheers to femininity!

“A cup in hand, you know it’s worth a while.
Let’s sit. Let’s talk. One moment with Nescafe”, is one of the
advertisement jingles that people can easily remember. The jingle is
not just pleasant to hear but it tells us how coffee beans are loved by
people and became one of the most popular morning delights.
Coffee has been the most
common early morning treat for people around the world. Others would
also prefer to have coffee during afternoon breaks than having soda or
juice. The aroma of the coffee is one thing we enjoy, especially when
you could roast your own coffee beans right in your kitchen for a
fresh-roasted morning delight. It has been the most popular morning
drink whether paired with a heavy breakfast meal, or tasty bread on the
table. To some people, mornings are just not complete without a cup of
coffee to start the day.
The fancy for coffee
dates back centuries ago or even longer. Brewing coffee beans may have
started for personal consumption and eventually lead to brewing
business. Over the years, coffee consumption has rapidly increased in
the United States alone. Aside from its good taste and stimulating
effect of caffeine, coffee’s rising popularity is now due in part of
social factors as evidenced by coffeehouses popping up all over the
place. This may be true but we cannot deny how many people love coffee,
and that is why coffeehouses are popping up like mushrooms in the area.
Since coffee has become a craze to most of us, businessmen came up with
various treats and perks for caffeine fanatics. More and more people go
to coffee clubs whether to quench their thirst for coffee or simply
just to hang out with friends talking over coffee. Regardless of an
individual’s reasons, more often than not, coffee has made its way
through a man’s heart.
